8 Wedding Florists I’m Loving Right Now
In the process of planning my own wedding, I set off on an extensive search to find the perfect florist. The good news? There are so many talented florists out there. The bad news? There are so many talented florists out there. We genuinely considered hiring multiple because we wanted to book them all.
Overall, I was looking for something untraditional — I’m a lover of fluffy florals combined with funky blooms, negative space, curly stems, and organic shapes. And as it turns out, a lot of people know how to do that really, really well.
While we ultimately went with our amazing friends over at Form Floral (photos below!), I wanted to highlight a few others we considered along with some additional floral artists I have been loving lately. I hope they inspire you as much as they did me.

Oh, Maria Flores
Floral arrangements or art installations? Hard to tell, because everything Maria touches is pure art. I’m so inspired by the way she can make a flower I’ve seen 100 times and use it in a completely unique way. She always finds a way to surprise you with the way she incorporates produce and candles, and I always look forward to her posts.

Wildflower Portland
There is nothing that brings me more joy than when I see Chas’s name on a vendor list. No one does coastal whimsy (a term I just coined) quite like she does. I am always in awe over the way she uses color and leading lines, and she really has a talent for making even your most niche floral dreams come to life.

Puni Petals
Puni is incredible at all things floral, but if there’s one thing that makes her stand out from the group, it’s her bridal bouquets. If you’re looking for a real statement piece to add to your wedding outfit, she’s certain to create the perfect accessory — complete with funky florals, a perfect color palette, and unconventional shapes that will blow you away.

Sway Floral Studio
Want a garden wedding but don’t have a green space? Just hire Haleigh. I’m convinced she could make a parking garage feel like a fairy garden if you really needed her to. I love the way she’s able to use an entire spectrum of colors while still making it feel soft and romantic, and how she can transform a seemingly simple space into something really magical.

Uncommon Blooms
True to her name, Katie creates some of the most unique and uncommon wedding florals I’ve ever seen (I think about that kale tower at least once a week). I am in awe of what she’s able to create while only using a single floral type, and all of her arrangements feel like a still life painting come to life.

Best Bud Floral
In contrast to the neutrals and pastels you typically see at weddings, Best Bud’s bold and punchy florals are sure the steal the show at any event they’re at. They really have a knack for making those bright reds and pinks look extra good, and their unconventional arrangements are a dream for anyone looking for something truly out-of-the-box and new.

By Willow
Whether she’s working with 5 stems or 500, Willow will undoubtedly make you something incredible. I love the way she uses negative space, and she really takes advantage of the full stem of a flower rather than just the bloom itself. Her work is the perfect blend of ikebana and overgrown and I just admire her art so much. She’s on hiatus at the moment, but keep an eye out for when she opens her books again!

Underground Melody
Amy’s work is some of my all time favorite in the biz right now. She really knows how to nail that wild, overgrown look while still keeping it clean and chic. I really love her earthy color palettes and her funky floral choices, and I am praying that there will come a day that I’ll get to work with her.
